Gunfire Reborn Wiki

"Take out a spare gun, wield both weapons at the same time, pump the enemies full of bullets."

Dual-Wield is Ao Bai's Primary Skill. Using it causes Ao Bai to draw the second weapon, wielding both of them at the same time. The effect lasts for 20 seconds.

The primary fire button will fire the weapon in the right hand, while the Weapon Skill? button will fire the weapon in the left hand (This can be changed in the Settings menu if preferred). Using the reload button causes both weapon to be reloaded at the same time, if they are not already reloading.

Unlike most other skills, Dual-Wield does not deal any skill damage, instead relying on using weapons to deal damage. Unless the weapons used cause Explosions? or have certain inscriptions that deal damage, anything that increases skill damage without also increasing weapon damage, such as Skill Enhancement and Spirit Bible, will have no effect.

While Dual-Wield is active, using the Weapon Skill? of either weapon is impossible (for exceptions, see Notes), limiting the capability of certain weapons. Weapons with a charge ability tied to primary fire can still be used. Additionally, weapons cannot Switch? even if they could normally.

On mobile version, if the main weapon is fully-automatic, using Dual-Wield will allow the sub weapon to become fully-automatic (including Wild Hunt, making them able to trigger Bloody Ammo) as well.

Dual-Wield does not work with certain weapons. Weapons that cannot be used are marked with a symbol. These include:

Frequent Use[]

Dual-Wield lasts for 20s, but ends immediately when switching to Foundry or using "cancel" button. After it ends, it refreshes after a 40s cooldown.

Offensive Use[]

Dual-Wield roughly doubles damage output by shooting and reloading both weapons at the same time. This also allows Ao Bai to trigger elemental effects more easily.

  • Most bonuses to weapons and weapon damage will increase damage output.
  • Advanced Dual-Wielding increases damage by +50% while Dual-Wielding.
  • Twin Gunner increases weapon damage by up to +150%, but doubles ammo consumption initially. Level 2 halves the chance to double ammo consumption, and level 3 removes it completely.
  • Lucky Ammo increases Lucky Shot Chance by up to +40%, with level 3 granting an additional +20% occasionally, for +60% total.
  • Ammo Expert doubles the ammo recovery while Dual-Wielding, for up to 30 ammo every second. Additionally reduces the chance to consume ammo by up to 50%.
  • Unleashed Potential increases weapon damage by +3% (up to +60%) and Lucky Shot Chance by +1% (up to +20%) for every 0.5 seconds spent firing.
  • Sharpshooter increases Rate of Fire and Accuracy by +30%.
  • Weapon Genius increases Lucky Shot Chance by +75%, and both weapons share the highest weapon level they have.
  • One Dog Army increases weapon and skill damage by +150% when not Dual-Wielding.
  • Perpetual Fire causes Sustained Fire to activate when Dual-Wield is used, and also grants +30% weapon and skill damage.
  • Double Powder causes the first shot after reloading to hit twice when not Dual-Wielding.
  • Empty Reserves allows shooting from an reserves while Dual-Wielding, however ammo consumption is doubled.
  • Firearm Specialist increases total weapon damage by +100%.
  • Rhythm Shooter increases damage for the right-hand weapon by +50% for every shot from left-hand weapon, up to +1000%. Bonus resets when the right-hand weapon fires.

Defensive Use[]

Dual-Wield has no defensive functionality by default.

  • Dual Battle Soul recovers 2% max Health every second while dual-wielding.
  • Survival Instinct doubles the maximum Health? increase while Dual-Wielding. Level 3 grants a 50% chance to recover Health equal to damage taken upon being hit.
  • Golden Comeback recovers Health by up to 50% and grants 1 second of immunity when taking a lethal hit while Dual-Wielding, up to 4 times. Level 3 recovers 1 charge after 4 seconds when all charges are consumed.
  • Gold Medal restores 15%? on use.
  • One Dog Army decreases damage taken by -20% and grants 3% Health recovery every second when not Dual-Wielding.
  • Cardiac Pacing instantly revives all downed teammates within 25 meters upon primary skill use. (Cooldown: 15s)
  • Veteran's Technique fully recovers Health when starting Dual-Wield.

Notes[]

  • Dual-Wield can be forcefully canceled by either pressing the Interrupt Charging key (default Middle Mouse Click) or switching to Foundry. This will immediately start its cooldown instead of having to wait until Dual-Wield ends.
  • Recoil only applies to the weapon in the main hand. The weapon in the offhand does not suffer any recoil, so using high recoil weapons such as Wild Hunt or Tiger Cannon in the offhand slot can help negate some downsides.
  • Certain weapons can still trigger Weapon Skill? in Dual-Wield:
    • Holding Wolf Gaze in both hands will make the offhand weapon automatically use the Weapon Skill while the main hand will use the primary fire.
    • Holding 2 of either Jet Octopus, Dragon Breath, or Tempest will cause both weapons to use the same attack mode at the same time.

Trivia[]

  • Most weapons that cannot be used in Dual-Wield either require 2 hands to function (making holding 2 of them require 4 hands), or have large overlapping animations when used. The exception to this is Foundry, since it is placed at "third" weapon slot while Dual-Wield only uses first and second weapons.
  • In the background art, Ao Bai is holding a strange pistol in his left hand, which does not match most of the existing weapons (the closest being Scorching Rounds). One possible reason is that this skill was first designed with a "skill weapon" only usable during the skill.
