The freeze effect of the Energy Orb.

"Launch a magical orb that will explode upon hitting enemies, dealing 400 normal DMG and imprisoning enemies in its area."

Energy Orb is Crown Prince's Primary Skill. Using it launches a large orb, which explodes if it hits an enemy or a barrier. The explosion deals damage to enemies and freezes them for 2 seconds, preventing them from moving and attacking.

Freezing has slightly reduced effectiveness against enemies with Shields?, and significantly reduced effectiveness against elites, bosses and Resistive enhanced enemies and those buffed by them. Additionally, the longer an elite or boss has been previously frozen for, the stronger their resistance to it becomes, eventually reaching a point where they break out instantly.

Energy orbs have a slightly larger detonation range than their hitbox would indicate, making it easier to hit enemies that it otherwise would near miss. However this large detonation range also triggers on breakable objects, requiring you to aim around them to avoid an early detonation.

Offensive Use[]

Without upgrades, Energy Orb deals 400 damage in an area.

  • Skill Enhancement increases skill damage by up to +50%.
  • Blinding Sphere increases the area of effect and allows the explosion to hit enemies through barriers. Level 3 scales damage with number of enemies hit.
  • Energy Bolt multiplies the damage dealt immensely, dealing 14x damage on average at max level.
  • Energy Blade multiplies weapon damage on the next shot and causes the shot to deal damage to all enemies in an area around it.
  • Energy Echo converts the damage to elemental damage, which can be boosted further by different ascensions and scrolls.
  • Brutal Gloves increases damage dealt by +35%.
  • Energy Sandals increases damage for every dash since the last primary/secondary skill use or trigger.
  • Skill Booster increases damage for every Critical Hit since the last primary/secondary skill use or trigger.
  • Sucker Punch increases skill damage by +45% if the enemy has at least 70% Health.
  • Enduring Caster increases skill damage by +1% for every 5 Health and Shield/Armor you have.
  • Vindictive Nature increases skill damage by +40% for some time after taking damage.
  • Surprise Bonus grants a 15% chance to double the damage of any skill.
  • Rational Consumption increases skill damage by +80%, but lowers it by 5% for every item purchased from a Peddler.
  • Dual-edge increases damage by +1% for every enemy killed.
  • Deadly Curse increases skill damage by +75%.

  • Rich's Privileges deals extra damage after hitting with skill damage based on how much copper you currently have.

  • Armed Caster increases skill damage by +50% for every 1x CritX your held weapon has.
  • Skill Enhancement increases skill damage by +6% for every level up.

  • Skill Specialist increases total skill damage by +100%.
  • Elemental Prohibition increases total damage by +125%, unless Energy Echo has been taken and you are holding an elemental weapon, which instead reduces total damage by -50%.
  • Elemental Amplifier increases total damage by +125% if you have Energy Echo and are holding an elemental weapon.
  • Roving Orb increases total damage by +100% and allows it to pierce through enemies.

Defensive Use[]

Without upgrades, Energy Orb freezes non-elite/boss enemies for 2 seconds. Elites and bosses have resistance to the freeze effect, based on how long they've previously been frozen for.

  • Energy Charge restores 5%? for each target hit.
  • Chained Duration increases freeze duration to a maximum of 8s.
  • Advanced Shield increases Shield? recharge speed by up to +90%. Level 3 prevents the recharge from being interrupted.
  • Gold Medal restores 15%? or 15%? on use.
  • Splinter Orb launches 3 orbs at once, increasing the potential number of enemies that can be frozen at once.
  • Infinite Shield allows Energy Orb to trigger Elemental Shield, and increases maximum Shields by +75% when both Elemental Shield and Advanced Shield are active.
  • Hard Boot immediately starts Shield recovery upon Primary Skill use.
  • Cardiac Pacing instantly revives all downed teammates within 25 meters upon Primary Skill use. (Cooldown: 15s)
