Falling Star being called down on a group of enemies.
Falling Star being called down on a group of enemies.

"Randomly gain Astroaspects until all slots are filled to obtain Astrohouse. Based on the Astrohouse, call down falling stars to deal DMG to enemies within a certain range."

Falling Star is Zi Xiao's Primary Skill. Using it casts out a blue area of effect that locks onto a nearby enemy, then strikes them and other enemies within range, with the damage and effects changing greatly based on the quality of the Astrohouse.

Each time it is used, all empty slots in the Astrohouse are filled to determine Falling Star's quality, then all slots are emptied again.

Astrohouse[]

"Astrohouse: forms by filling slots with Astroaspects. if Astroaspects are same, they form a Normal/Rare/Legendary Astrohouse; If Astroaspects are different, they form an Impure Astrohouse."

The Astrohouse is a series of square slots that Astroaspects can fill, located at the bottom of the screen under the primary skill, as shown in the example image on the right. It determines what you have available to use before you cast Falling Star.

By default, the Astrohouse has 3 slots to put Astroaspects in. This can be increased with Fate Thread.

Astroaspects[]

"Astroaspects:Obtain Astroaspects randomly according to initial chance and quality of Occult Scrolls,Normal/Rare/Legendary/Cursed Occult Scrolls correspond to Normal/Rare/Legendary/Wild Astroaspects. Wild Astroaspects are regarded as any kind of Astroaspect, Wild Astrohouse is regarded as a Legendary Astrohouse."

Astroaspects are colored scrolls shown in the Astrohouse. Each Astroaspect color represents an Occult Scroll quality. Normal is blue, Rare is purple, Legendary is yellow and Cursed is red. Having more scrolls of certain qualities will increase the chance of Astroaspects of the same quality ( Scroll Divination can be used to upgrade the quality of a scroll, increasing the chance of the next quality instead).

Blue is the lowest quality Astroaspect, purple is middle quality and yellow is the highest quality. Red is wild, and can pretend to be any of the other colors if it fits best.

Ways of gaining Astroaspects include:

  • Casting Falling Star, which fills the entire Astrohouse with Astroaspects.
  • Casting Astroforecast, which grants 1 Astroaspect with a chance of more with Mirror Hand.
  • Astrological Magazine which grants 1 Astroaspect, with a chance of 1 extra, when you have no Astroaspects.
  • Card Storm which grants a chance to gain Astroaspects of the same quality as current Astroaspects when hitting enemies with a weapon.

Astrohouse Quality[]

Astrohouse quality is determined by all Astroaspects (besides red ones) it contains. They need to match in order to increase Falling Star's power.

For example, all purple creates a Rare Astrohouse. Red can also be included for the same result.

If there is a combination of blue, purple and yellow Astroaspects, the Astrohouse will be Impure and offer the least amount of power. If all Astroaspects are red, the Astrohouse will be Legendary.

Astrohouse quality effects:

  • Impure: Deals 800 damage within 3.5 meters of the target.
  • Normal: Deals 800 damage twice within 3.5 meters of the target.
  • Rare: Deals 800 damage twice within 3.5 meters of the target, then 1000 damage within 7 meters.
  • Legendary: Deals 800 damage twice within 3.5 meters of the target, then 1600 damage within 7 meters. Finally 1000 damage per second and -50% Movement Speed for 5 seconds.

Probability Bar[]

The Probability Bar is a colored bar visible just below the primary skill and just above the Astrohouse. It helps the player determine the chances for each Astrohouse that Falling Star can have. The bar will constantly change itself based on factors such as current Astroaspects, what Occult Scrolls you have in your backpack and Star Rearrangement.

Different colors on the bar represent the chance to get different quality Astrohouses. Blue is normal, purple is rare and yellow is legendary. Grey however represents the chance of an Impure Astrohouse when getting a variety of Astroaspects.

Astroaspects already in the Astrohouse will affect the Probability Bar. For example, having a normal Astroaspect will show an increase in blue, but will also remove purple and yellow from the bar, filling the rest with grey.

If an Astrohouse is guaranteed, the bar will completely fill with the same color and the star to the left will change based on the Astrohouse.

Frequent Use[]

The base cooldown is 15s.
