"Summon petals to deal normal DMG to enemies in front and mark them. Dealing DMG to marked enemies will additionally trigger Fatal Bloom DMG."

Fatal Bloom is Tao's Secondary Skill. Using it creates an explosion of petals instantly where you are looking, dealing 400 normal damage to all enemies within 6 meters and marking them for 6 seconds. The petal explosion has a limited range that it can reach, preventing it from hitting distant enemies.

Enemies that are marked will take damage from Fatal Bloom again if they are hit 12 times, indicated by a pinkish rainbow halo effect and a pink damage number. This can be done repeatedly. Elemental Effects do not count as hits, however skills such as Swords Out will.

Frequent Use[]

Fatal Bloom has no cooldown, but uses ammunition which is replenished with Supplies. The base capacity is 3.

Offensive Use[]

Without upgrades, Fatal Bloom deals 400 damage. Every 12 hits on the same enemy while marked deals Fatal Bloom's damage again.

  • Skill Enhancement increases skill damage by up to +50%.
  • Glowing Bloom increases Fatal Bloom base damage by up to +300%. Level 3 decreases the required number of hits for extra damage from 12 to 10.
  • Flower Chain spreads the mark of Fatal Bloom to up to 3 enemies when hitting an enemy marked by Fatal Bloom.
  • No Escape increases the damage marked enemies take by +20%. Additionally flying swords will home in on marked enemies.
  • Mark Chaser increases weapon and skill damage by up to +30% for a short time when Fatal Bloom marks an unmarked enemy, stackable up to +150%.
  • Blade of Bloom summons up to 2.5 flying swords (rounded down) for each stack of Blade Heart each time Fatal Bloom is used to mark an enemy. Level 3 always summons flying swords based on the maximum Blade Heart stacks.
  • Brutal Gloves increases damage dealt by +35%.
  • Energy Sandals increases damage for every dash since the last primary/secondary skill use or trigger.
  • Skill Booster increases damage for every Critical Hit since the last primary/secondary skill use or trigger.
  • Sucker Punch increases skill damage by +45% if the enemy has at least 70% Health.
  • Enduring Caster increases skill damage by +1% for every 5 Health and Shield you have.
  • Vindictive Nature increases skill damage by +40% for some time after taking damage.
  • Untold Effort has a 50% chance to double Secondary Skill consumption.
  • Surprise Bonus grants a 15% chance to double the damage of any skill.
  • Rational Consumption increases skill damage by +80%, but lowers it by 5% for every item purchased from a Peddler.
  • Dual-edge increases damage by +1% for every enemy killed.
  • Deadly Curse increases skill damage by +75%.
  • Spirit Bible increases skill damage by +120%.
  • Rich's Privileges deals extra damage after hitting with skill damage based on how much copper you currently have.
  • Skill Freak grants a 75% chance to deal double damage and 25% chance to deal triple damage.
  • Overconsumption increases damage dealt by up to +300%.
  • Armed Caster increases skill damage by +50% for every 1x CritX your held weapon has.
  • Blossom Enthusiast decreases the required number of hits for extra damage from 12 to 4. With Glowing Bloom 3, the number is reduced further to 2.
  • Thorny Bloom increases Fatal Bloom base damage by +40% (up to +1200%) for 30 seconds, for every use regained. Additionally it deals damage again when the mark of Fatal Bloom ends or gets refreshed.
  • Phantom Blossom increases base damage by +60%.
  • Skill Enhancement increases skill damage by +6% for every level up.
  • Golden Touch increases skill damage by +10% for every occult scroll recycled, up to +100%.
  • Rich Accumulation doubles damage of the next Secondary Skill hit after dealing damage 4 times with Secondary Skills.
  • Skill Specialist increases total skill damage by +100%.
  • Elemental Prohibition increases total damage by +125%.
  • Blooming Blade causes every flying sword to deal damage equivalent to Fatal Bloom.

Defensive Use[]

Fatal Bloom has no defensive functionality by default.
