Shields? are displayed by a blue bar. They take priority when receiving damage and break when they reach zero, at which point Health? may be damaged. Shields will regenerate automatically if they are not damaged for a few seconds and stop recharging when they are damaged again.

All Heroes except Qing Yan have access to Shields.

Shield Recharge[]

Different Shields recharge at different rates, restoring a percentage of their maximum capacity every second.

Shields have a delay before they start recharging again. Taking damage will interrupt any recharging taking place and reset the delay if it was in the process of starting a recharge.

Heroes Affecting Shields[]

  • Crown Prince:
    • Shield Enhancement increases max Shields by +20.
    • Energy Charge allows Energy Orb to recover 5% Shields for each enemy hit.
    • Contingency Plan grants up to +50% Shield recharge speed and -50% Shield recharge delay depending on the percentage of Shields missing.
    • Elemental Shield increases max Shields by up to +90 after casting Smoke Grenade.
    • Advanced Shield grants +60% Shield recharge speed, -60% Shield recharge delay and prevents Shield recharge from being interrupted after casting Energy Orb.
    • Infinite Shield increases max Shields by +75% when Elemental Shield and Advanced Shield are active.
    • Hard Boot instantly starts Shield recharge after casting Energy Orb or Smoke Grenade.
    • Energy Shield increases Shield recharge speed by +500%.
  • Lei Luo:
    • Gifted Man may offer either +5 max Shields for each killed elite/boss, or +30% Shield recharge speed and critical hits start Shield recharge immediately.
    • Voltaic Aegis increases max Shields by up to +100 based on level and current stacks.
    • Super Charge increases max Shields by up to +40 after hitting an enemy with Chain Lightning, and restores up to 10 for each enemy hit.
  • Tao:
    • Resilient Shield instantly starts Shield recharge and prevents it from being interrupted for 3s after killing an enemy.
    • Sword Guard increases max Shields by up to +4 and restores up to 4 for each flying sword summoned. Level 3 increases Shield recharge speed by +50% as long as it has 20 or more stacks.
    • Long-lasting Bloom recovers 15% Shields after casting Fatal Bloom.
  • Qian Sui:
  • Xing Zhe:
    • Indestructible Spell increases max Shields by +15, and grants up to +50% Shield recharge speed depending on the percentage of Shields missing.
    • Steady Stance when taking lethal damage, the enemy that hit you is hit by a cudgel. If the cudgel kills the enemy, recover 100% Shields.
    • Strength Taker increases max Shields by up to +5 for each enemy hit by Essence Chain, up to 15 stacks.
    • Aura Protection increases max Shields by up to +10 for each enemy killed, up to 5 stacks.
  • Li:
    • Flaming Cape increases max Shields by +20.
    • Furious Flame level 3 grants +33% total Fire? damage when hitting enemies with Shields/Armor.
    • Heat Recovery increases max Shields equivalent to up to 150% of energy consumed or recovered recently.
    • Penetrating Flame allows 50% of Fire damage to ignore normal enemy Shields/Armor.
  • Lyn:
  • Momo:
    • Drawing Come True recovers 10 Shields every second you stand on its Blank Domain.
    • Ink Armor increases max Shields by +20, and grants +30% damage resistance when Shields are full.
    • Hold Brush increases max Shields by up to +120 while standing on Blank Domain, and increases Blank Domain's Shield recovery by up to +200%.
    • Overflowing Ink increases base damage of Drawing Come True by +2% for every max Shield you have.
    • Splash Ink recovers 5 Shields when casting Drawing Come True.
    • Ink Amplification increases damage by +2% for every max Shield you have.

  • Lifesaver prevents death and recovers 50% Shields/ Armor? once if you kill an enemy within 5s.
  • Gold Medal recovers 15% Shields/Armor when you use a primary skill or Dash.
  • Phantom Skin recovers 30% Shields/Armor when taking damage, with up to three regenerating charges.
  • Backup Shield recovers 40% Shields/Armor when they hit zero with a cooldown.

Shield Recharge[]

  • Resolute doubles Shield recharge delay, making it take twice as long to start recharging.
  • Silver Medal starts the Shield recharge immediately after killing an enemy or destroying a breakable object.
  • Overwhelming Shield decreases shield recharge speed by -50%, but also prevents it from being interrupted.

Maximum Shield Changes[]

  • Good and Evil increases max Shields/Armor by +15 for every cursed scroll held.
  • Paranormality doubles Shields/Armor, but sets max Health? to 1. If used with Flesh and Bones, max Health becomes 1 and max Shields/Armor becomes 0.
  • Flesh and Bones converts all Shields/Armor to Health, including any bonuses to maximum Shields/Armor.
  • Triple Comeback decreases max Health and Shields/Armor by -50%, but grants 2 instant revives (after which Health and Shields/Armor reset).
  • Enhanced Veteran increases max Shields/Armor by +1 for each enemy killed in close proximity.
  • Fight for Immortality increases max Shields/Armor for a short time based on damage taken.

Based on Shields[]

  • Resolute grants +50% Movement Speed and +25% damage boost while Shields/Armor is at 0.
  • Abnormal Speed grants up to +30% Movement Speed depending on current Shields/Armor percentage.
  • Abundant Vitality grants a +75% damage boost while Shields are recharging.
  • Thunder Screen deals Lightning? damage to surrounding enemies whenever Shields/Armor breaks.
  • Enduring Caster increases skill damage by +1% for every 5 Health and Shields/Armor you have.
  • Reinforced Eggshell grants damage resistance while Shields/Armor is active, but increases damage taken when Shields/Armor is at zero.
  • Airbag recovers full Health whenever Shields/Armor breaks, and drains health while Shields/Armor is full.
  • Penetration Bullet allows 50% of critical damage to bypass enemy Shields/Armor and directly damage Health.
  • Spirit Feline decreases damage taken to a maximum of 14% of combined Health and Shields/Armor.

  • Lightweights increases max Shields/Armor by +5 for every empty Spirit Concentrator slot, up to +100.
  • Prepaid Defense increases max Shields/Armor by up to +100, reduced by 1% for every level up.

  • Emergency Protocol reduces excess damage to Health by up to -75% when Shields/ Armor? breaks after fully recharging.
  • Explosive Ammo allows critical hits to instantly destroy normal enemy Shields/Armor when using Snipers.
  • Ethereal Feline decreases damage taken to a maximum of 25% of combined max Health and Shield/Armor.
  • Extermination Shot grants a 30% chance to deal 30% of a normal enemy's current Health and Shields/Armor as extra damage when landing a critical hit.
  • Collateral Aftermath deals damage to enemies within 8m after killing an enemy. The damage is equivalent to 50% of the killed enemy's current Health and Shields/Armor. (Cooldown: 3s)
  • Buffer Shield prevents damage taken that is less than 30% of your max Shields/Armor.
