Spiritual Flame is
Li's Primary Skill. Using it starts the process of channeling fire into a ball, consuming energy as it does so. Using the primary skill again or the primary fire button will launch it forward, piercing through and dealing 350
Fire? damage with a 33% chance to inflict
Burning? to all enemies for a considerable distance.
As Spiritual Flame is held it will rapidly consume energy, up to 60. Each orange bar surrounding the primary skill represents 30 energy. Energy will only be consumed in groups of 30, but less can be used if it is launched early.
Every energy point consumed will increase total damage by +2%. If at least 30 energy has been consumed, Spiritual Flame will evolve its form into a fireball with 2 smaller fireballs orbiting it, gaining +100% total damage and +100% AoE range. If at least 60 energy has been consumed and you have Firefox Blessing 2, it will evolve a second time into a massive firefox, gaining another +100% total damage and +100% AoE range.
The maximum energy you can store at once is 60, and can be recovered in several ways:
- 2% of your maximum per second will be recovered over time, giving it an effective cooldown of 60 (see Notes) seconds without other effects. However this stops while Spiritual Flame is being channeled.
- Killing an enemy that was affected by Burning will recover 2 energy.
Blazing Meteor will recover 2 energy for every enemy or breakable object hit.
Energy Indicator[]
Unlike other primary skills, Spiritual Flame does not have a standard cool down, but is instead managed by energy. The energy is displayed as a ring of bars surrounding the skill indicator, where each bar represents 30 energy. By default, the ring contains 2 bars, representing 60 max energy.
When the skill is charging, the crosshair also becomes a round meter, where each segment represents 30 energy going to be consumed. By default, the meter contains up to 2 segments.
Having Energetic Spirit will change the ring to contain 4 or 6 bars accordingly. If it's Level 3, the crosshair will also change to contain up to 6 segments determined by current energy.
Frequent Use[]
The base cooldown is 0s, letting you use it as much as you want. However energy must still be recovered to use it at its most powerful, and there is a 1 second delay between each cast.
Burning Bullet grants up to 15 energy when shooting enemies every 1.5 seconds. However it will also allow shots to consume energy as well.
Nourishing Fire grants up to an additional 10 energy when Blazing Meteor hits an enemy.
Energetic Spirit increases maximum energy by up to 120 and increases energy recovery speed by up to +200%.
Endless Wildfires grants up to 10 energy when Spiritual Flame kills an enemy, and has up to a 50% chance to recover all energy consumed.
Raging Inferno recovers 1 energy for every 2 meters traveled.
Flaming Trace recovers 1 energy for every 2 meters traveled.
Offensive Use[]
Without upgrades, Spiritual Flame deals 350? damage and has a chance to inflict
Burning? for damage over time. Additionally
Combustion? may be triggered if the enemy is affected by
Decay?.
Every point of energy consumed increases the total damage by +2%. If at least 30 energy has been consumed, it gains +100% total damage and +100% AoE range.
- All enhancements to Elemental or
Fire? damage also enhance Spiritual Flame.
Skill Enhancement increases skill damage by up to +50%.
Practice Makes Perfect increases charging speed by +30% for every 1200 energy used to harm an enemy with Spiritual Flame.
Flare Calling level 3 may cast Spiritual Flame when a fire weapon hits an enemy and inflicts Burning.
Flame Forged increases weapon and skill damage by +0.8% for every point of max energy you have, after casting Spiritual Flame.
Flame Resonance increases fire damage enemies take by +30%, stackable 3 times, every time Spiritual Flame hits them.
Conflagration increases Spiritual Flame base damage by up to +360%, and increases the damage bonus per energy point by up to +3%. At level 3, damage also increases with distance traveled, up to +100%.
Energetic Spirit level 3 allows Spiritual Flame to consume more than 60 energy per cast, for more bonus damage. For every additional 30 energy consumed, each enemy point also grants an extra +0.5% bonus.
Firefox Blessing inflicts a second hit for up to 100% damage when Spiritual Flame has evolved. Level 2 allows it to evolve again, gaining another +100% total damage and +100% AoE range. Level 3 causes a flame path as it travels, dealing 25% damage every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds.
Fiery Heart guarantees inflicting
Burning? with Spiritual Flame.
Brutal Gloves increases damage dealt by +35%.
Energy Sandals increases damage for every dash since the last primary/secondary skill use or trigger.
Skill Booster increases damage for every Critical Hit since the last primary/secondary skill use or trigger.
Sucker Punch increases skill damage by +45% if the enemy has at least 70% Health.
Enduring Caster increases skill damage by +1% for every 5 Health and Shield/Armor you have.
Vindictive Nature increases skill damage by +40% for some time after taking damage.
Surprise Bonus grants a 15% chance to double the damage of any skill.
Rational Consumption increases skill damage by +80%, but lowers it by 5% for every item purchased from a Peddler.
Dual-edge increases damage by +1% for every enemy killed.
Deadly Curse increases skill damage by +75%.
Spirit Bible increases skill damage by +120%.
Rich's Privileges deals extra damage after hitting with skill damage based on how much copper you currently have.
Overconsumption increases damage dealt by up to +300%.
Armed Caster increases skill damage by +50% for every 1x CritX your held weapon has.
Raging Inferno increases base damage by +15% for every enemy hit by Spiritual Flame, up to +450%.
Trace of Firefox grants a 33% chance for Spiritual Flame to deal double damage.
Flame Totem increases the damage bonus from Raging Inferno by +5% when an enemy is hit by Spiritual Flame.
Skill Enhancement increases skill damage by +6% for every level up.
Golden Touch increases skill damage by +10% for every occult scroll recycled, up to +100%.
Skill Specialist increases total skill damage by +100%.
Elemental Amplifier increases total damage by +125%.
Spiritual Ignition deals fire damage equivalent to a 50% charged Spiritual Flame to enemies within 10 meters, for every 10 meters moved.
Defensive Use[]
Without upgrades, Spiritual Flame's only defensive use is it may trigger Manipulation? if the enemy is affected by
Shock?.
Flame Resonance decreases damage enemies deal by up to -20%, stackable 3 times, every time Spiritual Flame hits them.
Heat Recovery increases max
Shields? whenever energy is consumed or recovered, up to an equivalent of 150% of energy change, for up to 8 seconds.
Gold Medal restores
15%? or
15%? on use.
Cardiac Pacing instantly revives all downed teammates within 25 meters upon primary skill use. (Cooldown: 15s)
Notes[]
- Spiritual Flame can be canceled by pressing the Interrupt Charging key (default Middle Mouse Click) or switching weapons. This will refund all energy consumed already.
- Since Spiritual Flame has a cooldown of 0, anything that reduces the cooldown duration or grants extra capacity becomes useless. Instead, focus on effects that spread Burning faster or grant more Blazing Meteor uses, as those will speed up energy recovery.
- Despite Spiritual Flame's description mentioning that energy recovers 2% every second, it actually takes 60 seconds (1.67% every second) to fully recover energy instead of the expected 50. Heat Recovery however will gain the correct 2%, and taking Energetic Spirit brings it to the correct recovery speed.
