
"Summon a Tidal Aspis to block all attacks from enemies in front. Re-casting the skill will end it and allow you to strike enemies with the Aspis, dealing Weapon DMG and Striking Punch DMG. While holding the Aspis, shooting becomes Striking Punch, and Dash is enhanced to Fierce Charge, which can knock back enemies and deal DMG."
Tidal Aspis is
Qian Sui's Primary Skill. Using it creates a shield of water that blocks all attacks from the front for 5 seconds, completely negating the damage that they would inflict. Attacks from the sides or behind however will not be blocked. Attacks that hit in an area of effect or leave a damaging pool will be blocked as long as you face the center of the area.
While the Aspis is active, weapons can no longer be fired. Instead, attempting to fire your weapon will result in casting Striking Punch. Punches are automatic as long as the button is held down.
Dash is replaced with
Fierce Charge (previously known as Hurtle), which allows the player to move even further and faster. Enemies in the way of Fierce Charge will take 700 normal damage and become staggered. Activating Tidal Aspis immediately recovers a use of Fierce Charge.
Once the duration is over or you activate the skill again, the Aspis will retract and slam all nearby enemies, delivering a final strike which deals damage equivalent to a hit from Striking Punch and a shot from your held weapon.
Frequent Use[]
The base cooldown is 14s. Without upgrades, it lasts for 5 seconds.
Efficient Casting decreases the cooldown to 10.5s at max level.
Swelling Tide decreases the cooldown by -10% for each second that remained when the Aspis gets retracted early.
Raging Waves decreases the cooldown by 1s when using Striking Punch while Tidal Aspis is inactive.
Wild Punch decreases the cooldown of Fierce Charge by 0.5s when using Striking Punch while Tidal Aspis is active.
Mighty Stream increases the duration by up to 6s, for a total of 11s. This also improves the effectiveness of
Swelling Tide. Additionally using Fierce Charge (or blocking attacks at level 3) recovers up to 1s duration.
Irrepressible Surge grants Fierce Charge 2 temporary uses after killing an enemy during activation. Additionally killing an enemy 1.2s after ending Tidal Aspis will give it no cooldown for 2s.
Solid Shell level 3 resets the cooldown when your
Shield? breaks.
Advanced Joggers reduces Fierce Charge's cooldown by -50%.
Terminal Lucidity resets the cooldown after taking 20%

Propulsion Device grants +2 Dash capacity, which applies to Fierce Charge.

Flowing Time reduces the cooldown by -1s (once every 2s) upon hitting an enemy.
Energy Storage grants +1 capacity, at the cost of +30% cooldown.
Field Proficiency decreases its cooldown by -6% for every elite enemy and boss killed, up to -60%.
Copycat decreases its cooldown by -50% for 60 seconds after killing an Aggressive Enhanced enemy.
Overconsumption decreases its cooldown by up to -50%.
Tsunami Punch grants +2 capacity.
Overwhelming Abyss reduces Fierce Charge's cooldown by -50%.
Rational Rush grants +2 Dash capacity, which applies to Fierce Charge.
Chrono Magazine decreases the cooldown by -3s every time you reload.
Extra Shot resets the cooldown every second time it is used.
Vibrative Timer grants a 20% chance to reset the cooldown when killing an enemy.
Rapid Cast decreases the cooldown by -80%.
Tide Destroyer reduces Fierce Charge's cooldown by -50%.
Offensive Use[]
Without upgrades, Tidal Aspis's Slam when ending does damage equal to a hit from Striking Punch and a shot from the currently held weapon, and Fierce Charge does 700 non-elemental damage.
Cloud Weaver's spikes will remain active and still deal damage while the Aspis is active.
Skill Enhancement increases skill damage by up to +50%.
Raging Waves increases the next Fierce Charge's damage by +50% for each Striking Punch that hit an enemy, up to 3 stacks.
Wild Punch increases Fierce Charge base damage by +200.
Battle Adrenaline grants up to 30% chance for the weapon damage from Aspis Slam to crit hit. Every 10 stacks of Fist Sensation you have increases it further by up to +8%. Level 3 also increases CritX by +0.5x for every 10 Fist Sensation stacks.
Concussive Current grants 1 stack for each enemy hit by Aspis Slam. Each stack increases Aspis Slam's damage by up to +20%.
Mighty Stream grants up to +20% Fierce Charge and Shockwave damage for every 1s of max Tidal Aspis duration.
Backfire creates a Shockwave periodically when Tidal Aspis is active, dealing damage equivalent to Fierce Charge. Additionally blocking attacks has a chance to trigger a Shockwave. Level 3 increases Fierce Charge and Shockwave damage by +1% for every 1 Max
Shield? you have.
Unfathomable Ocean increases Fierce Charge base damage by up to +450%. Additionally every meter traveled from Fierce Charge increases it further by +20% (with a minimum of up to 70% of Fierce Charge's max distance counted).
Unbearable Hurtle increases enemy damage taken by up to +75% after being hit by Fierce Charge. Fierce Charge and Shockwave damage is increased by up to +150% instead.
Brutal Gloves always increases skill damage by +35%, since skills can never critically hit.
Energy Sandals increases damage for every dash since the last primary/secondary skill use or trigger.
Skill Booster increases damage for every Critical Hit since the last primary/secondary skill use or trigger.
Sucker Punch increases skill damage by +45% if the enemy has at least 70% Health.
Enduring Caster increases skill damage by +1% for every 5 Health and Shield you have.
Vindictive Nature increases skill damage by +40% for some time after taking damage. This works even when blocked by the Aspis.
Thorny Carapace will work even when damage is blocked by the Aspis.
Surprise Bonus grants a 15% chance to double the damage of any skill.
Rational Consumption increases skill damage by +80%, but lowers it by 5% for every item purchased from a Peddler.
Dual-edge increases damage by +1% for every enemy killed.
Deadly Curse increases skill damage by +75%.
Spirit Bible increases skill damage by +120%.
Rich's Privileges deals extra damage after hitting with skill damage based on how much copper you currently have.
Overconsumption increases skill damage by up to +300%.
Armed Caster increases skill damage by +50% for every 1x CritX your held weapon has.
Tsunami Punch increases the total damage of the Aspis Slam by +300%.
Overwhelming Abyss consumes 15% of current Fist Sensation stacks (with an extra 0.5% for every stack you currently have) when using Fierce Charge. Each Fist Sensation stack grants +80% Fierce Charge damage.
Skill Enhancement increases skill damage by +6% for every level up.
Golden Touch increases skill damage by +10% for every occult scroll recycled, up to +100%.
Constant Hurtle increases Fierce Charge damage by +25% for 10s for every Fierce Charge, up to 10 stacks.
Skill Specialist increases total skill damage by +100%.
Elemental Prohibition increases total damage by +125%.
Tide Destroyer increases total Fierce Charge damage by +300% for the first 3 Fierce Charges after activating Tidal Aspis.
Bold but Gentle increases total skill damage by +120% while Tidal Aspis is active.
Defensive Use[]
Without upgrades, Tidal Aspis can completely negate damage from frontal attacks.
Agile Titan grants +10% total movement speed for a short time after using Tidal Aspis or Fierce Charge.
Unbearable Hurtle decreases enemy damage dealt by up to -60% after being hit by Fierce Charge.
Gold Medal restores 15% Shield upon activating Tidal Aspis or using Fierce Charge.
Stone Skin will work even when damage is blocked by the Aspis.
Cardiac Pacing instantly revives all downed teammates within 25 meters upon primary skill use. (Cooldown: 15s)
