Veteran is an Occult Scroll.

Shotguns and other low accuracy, high damage weapons can be used effectively with this scroll. Max Health^? can be increased by massive amounts as long as you keep killing enemies at close range, allowing you to keep fighting enemies up close with less risk of death. It can also be used with area damage weapons and spawning enemies.

Max Health increase is permanent until the scroll is dropped, which causes the stacks to reset.

Enhanced: Increases Shields^?/ Armor^? instead of Health, allowing the bonus to take damage first, recover naturally while boosting the power of all Shield/Armor synergies instead of Health synergies.

Synergies

Positive

• Gourmet heals more health from buns.
• Thunder Screen and Thorny Carapace deal increased damage based on max Health.
• Resilient Life and Flesh and Bones heal more health every second.
• Copper Miner increases Copper^? gain when killing enemies at the same distance.

Reduced Positive

• Long Shot is less effective at increasing damage against close enemies.
• Lone Ranger loses Lucky Shot Chance against close enemies.

Mixed

• Fire Enthusiast will recover 20% of missing Health with Fire^? damage while you are Burning^?. Care should be taken since Burning does extra damage to Health.
• Sanguine Relic will recover 30% of missing Health when dealing damage and increases max Health by +50%, at the cost of +50% damage taken.

Nullified

• Paranormality sets max Health to 1, making the scroll useless.

Negative

• Devil's Covenant decreases max Health by -50%, severely reducing the scroll's effects.
• Deflection Shield increases damage taken by +90% against close enemies.
• Deadly Curse decreases max Health by -75%, severely reducing the scroll's effects.
